A livestream works a bit different than a general admission or seated event. That's because you don't need a scannable QR-code, but a way to view the livestream via your ticket.
In this article, we explain how to set up your livestream event.
Create your livestream event
When you want to create a livestream, you can do 2 things:
- Copy your old livestream event. All the settings will be copied, also the embed code. So make sure you don't forget to change it!
- You create a new event. In the upper right corner of your dashboard, you click 'Create event', and choose livestream:
Manage your livestream event
You can manage your event whenever you want. But make sure you do this before the livestream event opens!
When you open your event, you will find the tab livestream under the heading 'management'. You can configure your event here. There are 2 options to choose from:
- Internal livestream: You will use an embed code and the attendee will watch the stream in the ticket.
- External livestream. When the attendee chooses 'watch stream' in their ticket, they will be forwarded to an external link. The attendee can forward this link.
Vimeo settings
We recommend working with Vimeo because you have the option to manage privacy settings. This way you can ensure that your video can only be viewed in the GUTS environment. In the document attached you will find more information about the Vimeo settings. If you use an external party that provides the stream, you can forward this document to them.
Pre-recorded livestreams
Via a broadcast encoder, you can stream your pre-recorded video as if it is live. In the attachment you will find a document with more information.
